Here’s the early two line info about the book that is being posted on some internet book sites.
Widow Rose Meadows eagerly accepts her brother-in-law’s offer for her and her two daughters to live on his farm after her treatments in a sanatorium finds them needing a home. But is this scarred and reclusive man ready for all the changes these women will bring to his life?
The book won’t be published until next May, but it will be up for pre-sale before that. So far the cover isn’t online. Well, I guess now it is since you’re seeing it right here on my blog post and that will be on my Facebook page soon.
It’s always fun to hear what readers and friends think about a book cover. I think most of you will like this cover and I hope eventually you’ll like the story. The story is going through edits at the publishers now. Most books take at least a year or longer to get from when I type “the end” to when you can pick up the book and read to the end. The books go through at least two or three edits on they’re way to a bookshelf and then into a reader’s hands. We all want the story to be the best it can be and to be easy to read with awkward phrasing, misplaced characters, wrong dates or whatever, typos, incorrect word usage and other things weeded out.
All mistakes aren’t caught. I’ve had a couple of doozies that I’ve missed and readers didn’t. Sometimes you can read and edit a book a dozen or even more times and still miss something.
Even the book cover might go through several edits and changes. Occasionally the first efforts for the cover are thrown out and new covers are made. This cover did go through some back and forth discussions. I love the daisies and other flowers. Hope you will too.
So what do you think? Is this a title and cover that might make you want to read the story?
