May you have all the happiness and luck that life can hold—and at the end of your rainbows may you find a pot of gold. ~Irish Blessing
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m not Irish, but I did wear green today. In fact, I changed my shirt to something green when I thought of the date. My mom’s birthday was yesterday. It would have been her 101st, but she moved on up to heaven seven years ago. She always liked to think she had some Irish ancestors. Not sure if that was true, but we can all be Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. So here are some more Irish blessings to make you smile.
“May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light. May good luck pursue you each morning and night.”
“May your troubles be less, your blessings more and may nothing but happiness come through your door.”
“May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.”
“May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past.”
“May God be with you and bless you. May you see your children’s children. May you be poor in misfortunes and rich in blessings. May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.”
“May the roof above us never fall in. And may the friends gathered below it never fall out.”
An Irish Prayer
May God give you,
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.
And until we come together again –
“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
