Only ten days until release day for my new mountain story, An Appalachian Summer. A new book being out for readers is always an exciting time. Seems many of my books have had a summer release date. Just in time for some sweet afternoons reading in the porch swing or maybe in a reclining chair on a beach somewhere. You can order it now and it will be coming out to you very soon. Here is more info and buy links is you want to check them out.
This book has more Frontier Nursing Service history. I’ve enjoyed learning about this midwifery service and how one woman’s vision changed so much for so many. Babies and mothers lived who might not have without the nurse midwives brought to the mountains by Mary Breckinridge. But while I’ve included Frontier Nursing history in this story, romance is also a part of the story. Maybe more so than in some of my stories.
So what do you think? Do these quotes out of the story make you want to know more?
Sorry the post is a little late. The grand girls came to visit and I still have editing to do on my work in progress. I started out needing to trim the story down by about 19,000 words. I have 4,000 yet to go. So back to work. Deadline is Monday!!
